Painting by Vidan

You look down on her
as she dares to be herself
even when she is not being herself:
she just tried to exercise
her talent as a puppeteer,
making figures move as if
it was possible to make them feel too.
She thinks she can resurrect shadows,
lifting them off the yesterday's clouds.

You roll your eyes,
she waits on her hands and knees
for some unspoken words.
Kindness never prevails though.
You forgot she is a human being
like you and me.
You forgot kindness generates kindness.

  1. When I read this I see the vision of reading one of not knowing the elements of interaction. Not knowing how to give and take is tragic yet there are many like that. Well written. tc
