THE THINGS WE LOSE ALONG THE WAY

The things we lose along the way,

The words we simply can’t say,

The nights we spend in loneliness,

The rage bursting out in pain and madness,

The attitudes we later lament,

The desire that is an eternal torment,

The darkness kept inside,

The love we always hide,

The flowers that never come into bloom,

The tears that hinder us from looking at the moon,

The words disguided in cruel lies,

The heart that never sighs,

The soul that can’t forgive,

The love we can’t give...

Little by little we lose ourselves

And die slowly...

Little by little we become slaves of our own fears...

Little by little we forget we are human beings and

We lose our senses, our feelings, our capacity of

Embracing our own humanity...
