Those unspoken words
between us
were sublimed away.
Questions left open,
things you never say.
Silent enigmas prevent me
from contemplating your breath
I confess.
A distant marveling woven
out of air might conceal so much
darkness.
I crouch quietly on the floor,
covering my heart in pain.
You will never ever hear the noise
it does make again.
